Guidelines

Remember to go through these before sending in submissions!

Some types of entries that we welcome include: Poetry, articles, essays, travelogues, short stories, memes, art. If you would like to submit something that isn’t listed here, please email us at rangmunch.sabha@gmail.com and pitch your idea. Following which, the Editorial Board will make a decision to either reject or accept it.

The content must be an original piece of work. Any form of plagiarism is strictly prohibited.

The Rang Munch Editorial Board reserves the right to conduct plagiarism checks on your submitted written material.

We will write to you, to inform you if your piece has been chosen, after we have conducted the necessary checks. If not chosen, we will inform you on email.

Rang Munch is open to entries from current students and alumni of St. Stephen’s College, Delhi as well as currently enrolled undergraduate students from Delhi University.

While sending in your entries, please mention your full name, name of the institution you are currently enrolled in, year of study/ year of graduation and course name.

If you are comfortable, do share your contact details, such as phone number, in the submission email. Your details will not be shared with anyone outside of the Editorial Board.

Note: Rang Munch Editorial Board reserves the right to reject submissions as per its discretion.

The content must refer to one’s experience or interaction with theatre. No form of artistic expression will be discouraged as long as theatre remains an overarching theme in the piece.

We urge you to title your submission as it will encourage people to click on it. The title of the writeup must be gastronomic. Reach out to the Editorial Team if you need suggestions.

Submissions should not contain any material that is offensive or disrespectful towards any person, profession or community.

If this is an academic/ submission with scholarly inclination, please clearly mention so. We would require you to duly cite your sources in a ‘Works Cited’ section.

Photographs, memes or art related to the content can be submitted along with the writeup in a PNG or JPEG format only.

Please note that photographs taken from an online source must be in the public domain or with an appropriate credit. If not, we will reject it.

FORMAT

Record the footage in landscape mode.

Audio-visual clips should only be submitted with the final edits.

Ensure appropriate lighting and proper visibility. Lighting and visibility may be altered for dramatic effects.
There should be no watermarks or logos in the video.

Avoid background noise or any similar disturbances.
The use of copyrighted soundtrack/music is discouraged.
Any content taken from online sources must be in the public domain or with appropriate credits.

Ensure that the duration of your video does not exceed 10 minutes.
The size of the video file should not exceed 100 MB.

Once published, your name and course/ year of graduation will appear beneath your piece as a credit.
The piece will be shared and publicised on our social media handles. If you would like to be tagged in these posts, please send in your Instagram/ Twitter/ Facebook/ LinkedIn handles along with your submission.

All entries should be sent to rangmunch.sabha@gmail.com. Entries sent to any other email address or contact will be automatically rejected from consideration.
