One of the winning entries from That's So Scripted, Sabha’s newly initiated creative ten-line play-writing competition.
She runs upstairs at the Kashmere gate station to catch the metro, which seemed to be patiently waiting, just for her./
Finally, she boards the train to find one empty seat and proceeds to sit, catching
her breath./
She takes a look around to see the tedious scene of people’s eyes glued to their smart
gadgets, acting robotic and scrolling aimlessly./Feeling like a fish out of the water, she feels a natural urge to take out her phone and start scrolling to blend in with the crowd./
A conflict soon arises between the heart and the mind, with her heart eventually conquering and the mind taking a back seat./
She simply looks out of the window, enjoying the scenery in motion, with the morning sun making its special appearance and smiling upon the earth./
People around are too fixated on their gadgets to witness her decision, but she could not care any less./
She smiles seeing the flock of birds flying in perfect rhythm./
She again takes a look around, hoping to connect with her fellow humans./
To her surprise, she finds another human in front of her, looking out of the window.
